This cuvée from Domaine de Perraud in the Saint-Véran appellation draws from Chardonnay a beautiful minerality and plenty of fruit offering a perfect balance between liveliness and freshness. The Saint-Véran plots are mainly located in the commune of Prissé, they are on average 10 years old. The resulting wines are vinified terroir by terroir and blended to obtain a traditional Saint-Véran. The soils come from clay-limestone on the surface, and even on the parent rock underground. A light, extremely aromatic and 100% enjoyable Saint-Véran!
Once upon a time, in Burgundy, there lived a young man by the name of Jean-Christophe Perraud. All his life, he grew up on the family farm, at that time a member of the cooperative cellar. One fine day, the young man undertook wine studies which made him more valiant and more motivated than ever. He then took the idea of leaving the bosom of the cooperative cellar for a few hectares to get his hands on it and try to produce his wine, until, ultimately, vinifying the entire estate. And this is how Perraud's work was born... True magic potions, these wines have seduced many professional and amateur tasters beyond the regions and are far from having completed their meteoric rise. A young winemaker to watch closely… and that’s a true story!
The Perraud estate is ideally located in the town of La-Roche-Vineuse, a stone's throw from the famous rocks of Solutré and Vergisson. Jean-Christophe Perraud created it in 2005 on family vines passed down for 4 generations, a childhood dream that came true.
