Pretty intense, purplish color. The nose is complex, with notes of ripe red fruits, cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, plum. The palate is silky, with very nice sweetness and fruit. We always want more!
DOMAIN
Almost 10 years since Benoit took over this 15 hectare family estate. An oenologist by training, he worked his way through the most beautiful estates in the southwest before settling down in his native Cahors and successfully restructuring the family vineyard. The vines on the third terrace of the Lot or on the slopes benefit from an exceptionally rich and complex terroir which benefits the different vintages and Malbec does well there (as a reminder: AOP Cahors is at least 70% Malbec if assembly or of course 100%). In casks, concrete or stainless steel tanks, there is something for all expressions and Benoit offers us vintages that reflect this beautiful diversity of the soil. Its different breeding methods make it possible to enhance this Terroir and the talent of our winemaker to magnify the whole.
