DOMAIN

At the origin of this wine project, there is Tiago Sampaio and his winegrower grandfather with whom, from a very young age, he walked the magnificent vineyards of the Douro Valley. Passionate about nature and very curious, Tiago studied agronomy in Santo Tirso and then at the University of Vila Real. Then, he decided to specialize in wine and went to Oregon (USA) to complete a doctorate in viticulture/oenology.

With his university experience and a desire to combine modernity and tradition, Tiago turned to the production of healthy wines.

Going against the grain of what's happening in the region, Folias de Baco offers a large number of vintages with very different profiles. From the Pet'nat' Pinot Noir to the highly digestible white Moscatel Galego, including the Clairet made from coplanted grapes or orange wines aged in amphorae.
