SPIRITS
Country : Tahiti
Quantity : 70cl
Alcohol : 43%
Made from pure sugar cane juice from ancestral varieties grown on the plateaus of the Tahiti peninsula and the island of Tahaa, it was then aged for 12 months in Armagnac barrels and cognac barrels. It has a pretty amber color, and offers elegant aromas of cane juice, citrus fruits, honey, flowers, with a hint of vanilla. Fresh and with great length, it is a very nice tasting rum.
DISTILLERY
In 2010, Fabrice Baffou and Sébastien Thépenier decided to relaunch sugar cane production and a very high quality agricultural rum in Polynesia. After several years of research, they selected five ancestral and indigenous varieties and started their organic cultivation on the most suitable lands, in Tahaa, Rangiroa and on the Tahiti peninsula. The cane juice is extracted, without adding water, a few minutes after cutting, near the field. It is then fermented for a few days before being sent to Tahiti where it is distilled. The first rum was marketed in 2015. Mana'o Tahiti tasting rums are the fruit of these years of artisanal work combining respect for tradition and modernity. The name Mana'o - MANA'O: thought and HA'AMANA'O: remember - resonates as a tribute to these exceptional sugar canes.
