DOMAIN
Julien Cruchandeau, originally from Burgundy , is a true enthusiast. He started in the kitchen and then, after training in oenology, worked in various domains (Domaine Seguin, Domaine Lechenault in Bouzeron ).
In 2003, Julien decided to create his own estate. He bought his first grapes on Bouzeron and partners with various investors to expand his Nuit Saint Georges operation to Savigny . His winery is located in Chaux in the Hautes Côtes de Nuit and extends over 4 hectares. Deeply attached to his terroir, the man, originally from Chenôve near Dijon, likes to cultivate his vines while respecting the soils and terroirs. His method commits him to the objective of moderate yields, in order to obtain healthy and quality grapes. The Cruchandeau estate is currently engaged in a conversion to organic farming, certifying that the winemaker no longer uses any synthetic chemicals. His approach is sustainable viticulture and his wines are pure juices and expressions of the fruit of the grape varieties he works: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté.
