The wines of Château d'Armailhac are made up of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot in varying proportions depending on the vintage, each terroir and each grape variety finding ideal conditions to express themselves depending on the year.

The wine is defined by a form of elegant classicism, recognizable whatever the vintage. The tannic structure is both solid and refined. It balances perfectly with the complex aromatic palette that continues to enrich and reveal itself over time, with a fruit that is always very present and characteristic notes of graphite. Château d'Armailhac offers great aging capacity but can also be enjoyed in its youth. It is a perfect illustration of the Pauillac style, knowing how to combine all the characteristics of a great wine while remaining accessible.

Color of beautiful intensity, a deep and sustained red.

The nose is intense and presents a subtle blend of red fruits, marked by a lovely woodiness which reveals denser aromas of roasting and slightly spicy notes.

The palate is well structured with a good tannic and velvety expression, mixed with a multitude of flavors with notes of ripe fruit and toasted aromas.

A long, silky finish reveals a beautiful balance and a good expression of the terroir.

DOMAIN

Dating back to the 18th century, Château d'Armailhac is located in the northwest of the Pauillac appellation. Its 50-hectare vineyard covers three different soil types, which lend the wine its complexity. Owned by Domaines Baron de Rothschild, the estate manager is Philippe Dhalluin, assisted by oenologists Jacques and Eric Boissenot.

This authentic Pauillac vintage is undergoing a renaissance
under the leadership of Camille and Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, who today preside over its destiny with the same enthusiasm and high standards as their illustrious predecessors.
