DOMAIN
Julien Cruchandeau, originally from Burgundy, is truly passionate. He started in the kitchen then after training in oenology worked in different areas (Domaine Seguin, Domaine Lechenault in Bouzeron ).
In 2003, Julien decided to create his own domain. He bought his first grapes on Bouzeron and joined forces with various investors to expand its operation from Nuit Saint Georges to Savigny . Its vat room is located in Chaux in the Hautes Côtes de Nuit and covers 4 hectares. Deeply attached to his land, the man, originally from Chenôve near Dijon, likes to cultivate his vines with respect for the soil and terroir. His method commits him to the objective of moderate yields, in order to obtain healthy, quality raisins. The Cruchandeau estate is currently engaged in a conversion to organic farming, certifying that the winemaker no longer uses any synthetic chemicals. His approach is sustainable viticulture and his wines are pure juices and expressions of the fruit of the grape varieties he works: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté.
