DOMAIN
The Henschke family has been making wines at their Eden Valley estate since 1868. Fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke took over management of the winery in 1979. Along with his winemaker wife, Prue, they transformed their two vineyards single-plot wines, Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone, into two of Australia's most sought-after wines. Through a combination of excellent viticultural practices from Prue, who is at the forefront of re-introducing native plants into their vineyards to improve biodiversity, and enological techniques from Stephen, they have cemented their heritage and transformed this traditional producer into a a reference recognized by wine connoisseurs around the world.
