The great vintage of Chateau de Béru, a 4-hectare monopoly plot, entirely enclosed by walls and where vines have been cultivated since the 12th century and the Cistercian monks. Located at an altitude of 250m and looking mainly to the south, this vineyard is located on a geological fault, which makes it unique. Clos Béru is aged in 350 and 600L pieces for 24 months, with a very small proportion of new wood (around 5%). It is certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter.
Obviously, we are moving to another level in terms of concentration, volume and length with this Clos Béru. The balance is very beautiful despite the sunny vintage and the wine is ideally guided by just calibrated acidity. The aging in wood is present but perfectly timed to accompany this rich, dense material, with superb fat, but without ever weighing it down. In addition to the yellow fruits and the almond, the markers of Chablis are there and mark the finish of the noble sapidity and salinity that one expects from a great Chablis terroir. A wine which does not have the classification but which is clearly on par with the grand cru climats of the appellation
