DOMAIN
Having lived in the world of wine forever, Chiara Boschis was born into a family of winegrowers spanning several generations. Her ancestors created the prestigious Giacomo Borgogno estate in Barolo in 1761. Although this estate was sold in 2008, the family wine tradition continues thanks to Chiara Boschis, who becomes the harvesting owner of the E. Pira e Figli estate even today. 'today. 'today. Located in the Barolo DOCG production area, the E.Pira and Figli estate belonged to the Pira family, whose members were major wine producers in the 19th century. When Gigi Pira, legendary owner of the E.Pira winery, died in 1980, the estate was entrusted to Chiara Boschis as well as her parents Franco and Ida to ensure the continuity of her work. The two families were already linked by a great friendship. After her studies, towards the end of the 1980s, Chiara became the first female producer of Barolo DOCG. Taking a bold path, she brought new life to the estate, whether in the cellar or in the style of production. Sharing with her the passion for working in the vineyard, her brother Giorgio joined her in 2010.
