We find the fruity and spicy of the great Châteauneufs of the house, however, it is the floral which gives it all its character, almost airy. Lots of refinement, a very evolving and deep wine in the glass. On the palate, it is elegance in its purest form. Everything is balanced with exceptional flavor. The touch is extremely fine, what can we say about the tannins, almost textured like taffeta.
Walk in Saint-Préfert… “The angels’ share”, pianist Jacky Terrasson
Located south of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley, the Saint-Préfert estate, created in 1920, was taken over in 2003 by Isabel Ferrando. Passionate about her terroir, this former senior bank executive who became a winemaker notably carries out a rigorous mass selection of the estate's grape varieties. Coming from a vineyard managed in organic and biodynamic farming, the exceptional wines of the Saint-Préfert estate are recognized by many international critics.
The domain Saint-Préfert bears the imprint of the genius of the land and the men who knew how to make the best of it. It still lives today thanks to the hard work of those who continue the work of several generations of winegrowers.
