DOMAIN
The Domaine du Couvent presents itself as a family property managed by Philippe Chéron and installed in the former convent of Gevrey-Chambertin. This wine estate, with an area of more than 10 hectares, extends over exceptional terroirs exclusively on the Côte de Nuits. Its vineyard forms a mosaic of plots mainly spread across the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot; but also in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Marsannay la Côte. Burgundy represented by its climates designating the different unique plots of vines by their exposure, their geological differences and the work carried out there for centuries, and the basis of our thinking in terms of our viticulture but also our winemaking. The philosophy is to purify our practices so that the style of the winemaker fades in favor of the personality of each terroir and vintage. With patience and humility, the work of each detail contributes to the success of the whole in search of purity, precision and the living character of the wine. The desire to do everything possible to give these old vines the means to express themselves as naturally as possible.
