The Fessardière estate has been producing wines using organic farming since 1997. Former winemaker Michel Sauvion chose organic viticulture to improve the quality of his Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation wines and to work in accordance with nature. Jérôme and Emeline, two wine enthusiasts wish to settle in the Nantes vineyard to cultivate vines. It was in 2014 that they met Michel Sauvion. The latter shows them around the estate and introduces them to viticulture and winemaking. Seduced by the vines, the wine and Michel's work, they immediately wanted to continue the process of producing a wine in harmony with the nature that welcomes it, by innovating towards always natural methods. Since then, these two new winegrowers have taken over the Fessardière wine estate and developed a range of Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine wines...In order to preserve the environment, the estate has been engaged in an organic cultivation approach since 1997. They have banned all herbicides and use more natural practices such as work which allows their wines to fully express the terroir. Likewise, the estate has excluded any chemical products from their plots in favor of natural products based on copper, sulfur and plant extracts. Today, all white wines from Domaine de la Fessardière are certified ORGANIC by ECOCERT.
