“Sy” for Syrah, “kan” for Carignan and “ache” for Grenache. You will have understood, this bottle is a blend of all the wines from the south of France that Maxime Crotet offers. The blend is made in equal proportions, even for Vintage Grenache.
The wine exudes concentrated aromas of red fruits with notes of spices. As for the palate, the wine is rich, with a nice substance but the tannins remain supple which brings a nice freshness to this blend whose power is between Grenache and Syrah.
Maxime Crotet, originally from the Pays Beaunois, has always been immersed in the world of wine. His grandfather actually ran the Hostellerie de Levernois! Maxime quickly wanted to know more and take an interest in winemaking in particular. It was with Frédéric Cossard that he trained. Maxime learned the management of vines in organic farming, as well as the mastery of breeding sulfur-free wines, now called 'Natural Wines. He stayed there for around ten years. Maxime then wanted to create his own business and make his own wines. The adventure begins at the beginning of 2021 where he works to find a vat room. By chance he found some in Beaune itself, the first stage of a meteoric rise. He first looked for organic grapes in the Southern Rhône. The 2021 vintage being catastrophic in Burgundy, Maxime still managed to have some Pinot Noir from Côte de Nuits.
