Château du Glana is located on the Route des Grands Vins along the Gironde estuary, between the villages of Beychevelle and Saint-Julien, just opposite Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. Built in 1870, these very characteristic walls combine the white of the limestone and the red of the brick. Landlocked among the greatest Médoc classified growths, this property has experienced constant, unprecedented qualitative progress since 1999. The complete restoration of the buildings in 2003 (vat room, harvest reception, barrel cellar, offices, reception room), the care given to the vineyard and the valuable advice of Professor Denis Dubourdieu in convergent winemaking towards a judicious balance between modern and respect for traditions to produce balanced, velvety, complex wines, appreciated in their youth while offering cellaring for more than ten years.
