The Vieux Château Brun is a Pomerol. This AOP covers 800 hectares and only produces red wine. The wines produced have the advantage of being able to be drunk young while showing excellent aging potential. Vieux Château Brun is the last wine produced at Château La Ganne. This Château has been run for four generations by the Dubois-Lachaud family of winegrowers. The vineyard extends over 4 hectares. The entire vineyard is currently undergoing organic conversion. The grape varieties are made up of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Vieux Château Brun comes from the youngest vines on the estate. The harvest is manual. It is aged for a year in oak barrels, 10% of which are new.
