The House considers that each Vintage Krug expresses the unique character of a particular year. A Krug Millésime brings together the most expressive wines from the same year, enhanced by aging for more than ten years in the cellar. Each Krug Millésime is different: it is the Music of the year, transposed into the Krug universe.

Krug 2008 is the story of elegance and intensity of a fresh and balanced year, which the tasting committee of our House has nicknamed “Timeless Elegance”.

DOMAIN

The House was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, a visionary, non-conformist man with an uncompromising philosophy. His dream was to create the best Champagne possible every year, regardless of annual climatic variations. Joseph Krug managed to realize his dream by paying close attention to the character of the vineyard, respecting the individuality of each plot and its wine, and building a vast library of reserve wines from different years.

With a traditional approach to making Champagne, he decided to go beyond the very notion of vintage in order to create, each year, the most generous expression of Champagne. He thus founded a House where all the Champagnes would be of the same level of distinction.

Since then, six generations of the Krug family have pursued this dream, enriching the vision and know-how of the founder of the House.
