Domaine Guy Bocard has been located in Meursault for over a century. He works 5.8 hectares of vines, exclusively white. In 2019, the organic certification process was undertaken, which should be completed in 2022. Long before the decision was made to concretize the cultivation methods with certification, the Domaine endeavored to work the soil in a reasoned manner, and in phase with the typicality of each terroir, to enhance its natural qualities.
Tradition is just as respected in the stages of winemaking, starting with the harvest at optimal maturity, with the aim of producing complex wines rich in all the flavors that the terroir reveals.
The aging takes place for one year in French oak barrels, and even two years for the first growths. Although the surface area of the estate may seem modest, the Domaine's notoriety among major guides and critics, both foreign and French, is considerable. And so justified!
