A very particular serine of dazzling intensity. It represents only a few rows of a plot of our old vines in Ardèche. Its very particular ampelographic characteristics distinguish it from the serines of other northern vineyards, notably by its low alcoholic levels at full maturity.
Becoming a winemaker represents the great adventure that began 20 years ago for him; a dream for someone who has no family history close to vines or wine, just a passionate wine lover. Step by step, he created an estate of 12 hectares today in the confidential appellation of Brézème in the northern Rhône and in Ardèche, right next door in the Ouvèze valley.
His approaches and philosophy are born from personal paths, readings, meetings with emblematic winemakers around the world and unconventional farmers.
The estate is established on two very distinct terroirs in the north of the Rhône valley - Brézème in the Drôme (left bank of the Rhône) and in the Ouvèze valley in Ardèche (right bank), two sectors well identified on the maps wine-producing areas of the Rhône but almost forgotten due to their confidential surface area and their geographical isolation.
Brézème is a south-facing limestone hillside, the last ridge of the Vercors at the mouth of the Drôme. The Ouvèze valley, on the Ardèche side, marks the geological separation between the Massif Central and the Cévennes. The vineyard, facing south, constitutes a granite flank with a mixture of schist and gneiss and limestone islets on its surface.
