On the nose, we discover notes of raspberry, blackcurrant and redcurrant, bringing a beautiful amplitude of freshness as well as a subtle trace of stone. The violet adds a delicate floral touch to the whole. Finally, with age, nuances of truffle and moss develop, evoking its terroir and its complexity. On the palate, this grand cru offers a balanced attack, both clear and rich. Its melted and precise tannins bring a certain roundness of texture and accompany us on a delicious finish of lingering wild red berries. The latter which can mix with deeper nuances, such as leather and musk after several years of aging.
This grand cru goes perfectly with dishes rich in flavor, such as red meats, feathered game and mature cheeses.
DOMAIN
The Bruno Clair estate is located in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the Marsannay appellation, in the Burgundy vineyard. It was created in 1979 by Bruno Clair and was originally made up of only a few plots from Marsannay, Fixin, Savigny-les-Beaune and Morey-Saint-Denis. Bruno Clair is not unknown in Burgundy since his father, Joseph Clair, is the creator of the famous Domaine Clair-Daü, also in Marsannay. The heirs of Joseph Clair failing to reach an agreement, the estate was dismembered but Bruno Clair was entrusted with part of the vines by his family. Thanks to its fine wines, the Bruno Clair estate brings to life the spirit of the Clair-Daü estate.
