Small vintage from Pierre Lurton, former director at Château d'Yquem. This dry white wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon, and Muscadelle, has a beautiful freshness, roundness and aromatic intensity, and a fairly straight, balanced, and dense structure! Ideal for vegetable preparations as well as fish and goat cheeses.
Château MARJOSSE is a historic property located 14 km south of Saint Emilion, built in 1782. It is surrounded by 20 hectares of vines located on exceptional clay and limestone soils. Winemaker Pierre Lurton, born and raised in a nearby chateau, bought the property piece by piece from 1991 and has since produced remarkably popular and reasonably priced reds and whites.
There are young vines as well as old ones (even some planted in the 1920s!). Among the different varieties of grapes. Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon form Sauvignon Blanc in red, Sémillon and Muscadelle in white.
