Family property of 35 ha, cultivated in high density, on the eastern foothills of the Massif Central, near the Loire gorges. Located at the foot of the Monts de la Madeleine, the 200 ha of the AOP Côte Roannaise constitute one of the first vineyards in the Loire Valley. On the granite foothills of the Massif Central, the Gamay St Romain peaks between 400 and 500 m. This Volcanic Loire also includes the Côtes du Forez, the Côtes d’Auvergne and Saint-Pourçain. The family farm dates from the 17th century. It has been passed down from generation to generation ever since. In 1996, when it was taken over by Stéphane, the estate covered 12 hectares. Helped by his wife, Carine, they converted the estate to organic farming and then to biodynamics. Very attached to the Côte Roannaise, they have returned beautiful hillsides to vines.
