The roundness of Grenache, but in white. A surprising, singular, seductive wine. Superb freshness with a hint of salinity on the finish. This wine is unlike anything known, hence its name: Le Miracle alludes to the unexpected character of the cuvée, obtained from grape varieties with which only rosé or red are generally made. In other words, Le Miracle is a blanc de noirs, a unique vintage produced in the Vin de France appellation. It is made up of 95% Grenache and 5% Cinsault and is obtained by direct pressing of the two varieties. Vinification takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel vats, without the addition of sulphites. No fining, no filtration, no addition of sulphites during bottling.
DOMAIN
Le Clos des B (initial of the two owners, Gwendolyn Berger and Jean-Jacques Branger) is located in Grimaud, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. They are therefore the happy producers of the very first natural vintages in this geographical area. Those who know that this region is home to viticulture worthy of interest will avoid thinking about the celebrity seaside resort and the swimming pool rosé: before the purchase of these three hectares of vines by the two Bs, all these wines went to the cooperative cellar of the Saint-Tropez winegrowers. Driven by a “thirst for vines”, as they say, Gwendolyn and Jean-Jacques overcame administrative difficulties, restored the vineyard and soon produced reds, rosés and even a blanc de noirs. Their grape varieties are typical of the region: Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, growing on schist sands crossed by quartz veins.
