Edoardo Veltroni and Claire Freist created Terres Bariolées in 2022. Edoardo studied oenology in Pisa in Italy. Claire, originally from Burgundy, studied in Beaune and Dijon. It was when they were working in different Burgundian estates that they met and chose, a few years later, to settle in Auvergne. It was therefore in Chalus, a small Auvergne village nestled at an altitude of 600 meters, that Edoardo and Claire found 5 hectares of vines (planted or to be planted). Chardonnay, Chardonnay Muscaté, Gamay, Pinot Noir...these are the grape varieties worked by this amazing duo! The vines are grown organically using biodynamic practices. The wines are aged and bottled mostly without sulfur if the quality of the wine allows it. But Edoardo and Claire don't stop there: in 2023, they planted 1 hectare of Syrah and plan to plant Aligoté and Chardonnay Muscaté in 2024 and 2025. Authored wines that do honor to Southern Auvergne, in full renewal!
