Le Clos du Roy, is one of the most famous climats of Marsannay, located to the north of the appellation at the top of the slope between altitudes 268 and 312 meters, this 25.2 ha climat was cultivated from the 13th century ^by the dukes of Burgundy who built their press not far away in the village of Chenove.

The plot acquired in 2021 by the estate has a surface area of ​​35 ares and is made up of two blocks facing east. A first block which represents approximately 1/4 of the surface is located in the lower part of the climate where the slope is gentle, the soils covered with a very poor marl substrate and alluvial materials shed by the old bed of the Ouch.

The Domaine du Couvent presents itself as a family property managed by Philippe Chéron and installed in the former convent of Gevrey-Chambertin. This wine estate, with an area of ​​more than 10 hectares, extends over exceptional terroirs exclusively on the Côte de Nuits. Its vineyard forms a mosaic of plots mainly spread across the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot; but also in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Marsannay la Côte. Burgundy represented by its climates designating the different plots of unique vines by their exposure, their geological differences and the work carried out there for centuries, and the basis of our reflection in terms of our viticulture but also our winemaking. The philosophy is to purify our practices so that the style of the winemaker fades in favor of the personality of each terroir and vintage. With patience and humility, the work of each detail contributes to the success of the whole in search of purity, precision and the living character of the wine. The desire to do everything possible to give these old vines the means to express themselves as naturally as possible.
