The color of this wine is deep red with purple reflections, announcing a concentration of flavors. On the nose, delicate aromas of cherry, raspberry and possibly spicy notes emerge, with a subtle presence of wood, perhaps oak. On the palate, the balance between supple tannins and nice acidity reveals a nice persistence with crushed raspberries, even pepper. This Gard vintage would be perfectly enjoyed with Mediterranean dishes such as grilled meats, lamb dishes or pressed cheeses, thus creating harmony between the characteristics of the wine and the flavors of the chosen dishes.
DOMAIN
The Barotte estate currently covers 22 hectares in Roquemaure. A usable surface area expanded in 2008. Only 60 minutes from Grau du Roi and Mont Ventoux.
Managed by Sylvain and Laurence Reboul, the operation offers several appellations: Lirac, Tavel, Côtes-du-Rhône and Vins de Pays du Gard.
The Barotte estate owes its reputation above all to its authentic appearance. Indeed, this estate is in the process of practicing organic farming on all of its plots. A method of cultivation that completely breaks with chemicals. Furthermore, the maintenance of vines has always been done with plows and decavators. This option allows us to remain faithful to traditional know-how, guaranteeing authentic and superior quality wines.
