Wine producers for more than 150 years, first as sharecroppers, the Mascarello family bought their first vines in Monprivato, one of the exceptional terroirs of Barolo, in 1904. Today, it is Mauro Mascarello , helped by his wife and his son Guiseppe, who took charge of these 15 hectares, divided into several plots. The estate practices viticulture that is extremely respectful of its terroirs since it prohibits chemical weedkillers and drastically limits phytosanitary treatments. Wines which have repeatedly demonstrated their finesse as well as their great aging capacity, with the 6 hectares of the famous "Monprivato" (virtually a monopoly of the house) as their standard bearer. Giuseppe Mascarello is a family winery having been founded in 1881. It has the reputation of being one of the largest producers of Barolo and more generally to be one of the best estates in the world.
