An expressive and elegant bouquet, revealing notes of black fruits and toast, prepares a fleshy attack on the palate. This evolves into firm and smooth tannins, requiring long aging to flourish.
The history of Château Berliquet is not new since it is one of the oldest names in the Saint-Emilionnais vineyard. This already appeared on the maps of Belleyme in 1768. In 1918 it was acquired by the Count of Carles. And belonged until 2017 to the Lesquen family. This family was the owner of many of the most prestigious wines in Saint-Emilion.
Since 2017, Château Berliquet has belonged to the CHANEL house, already involved in the Bordeaux vines for more than twenty years at Château Canon, but also Château Rauzan-Ségla.
Planted on 10 hectares, Merlot and Cabernet Franc overlook the western hillside of Saint-Emilion and plunge into it to gently bend towards the Dordogne. The structural imprint of the limestone plateau is evident here.
