Located in the Marne valley, this family estate has a long history dating back to 1490 with Nicolas Taillet then Fiacre Taillet in 1540. From 1700, a second Fiacre Taillet, an erudite winemaker, wrote his memoirs presenting his life as a winemaker and all the events markings of the village, the family and its profession. The Chartogne-Taillet family perpetuates this tradition of writing and know-how inherited from this past winemaker. The work is manual, or helped by their horses in the wild. The vineyard practices environmentally friendly viticulture. Chartogne-Taillet’s unique and innovative vintages demonstrate their commitment to tradition while embracing modern creativity.
