Ruinart cultivates the vines with care, respecting ancestral traditions. Three grape varieties make up the blends of its vintages: chardonnay, emblem of the House, pinot noir and pinot meunier. The grapes mainly come from the Côte des Blancs, where chardonnay is king, and from the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. The bunches benefit from optimal sunshine, grown on chalky soils which perfectly regulate the water status of the vines. This terroir offers wines that are taut, chiselled and of great power.
