This new blend celebrates the harmony between Japanese nature and craftsmanship. It is a delicate and perfectly balanced whisky, subtle yet highly complex. More than ten malt and grain whiskies make up this blend to create the best possible harmony between aromas and flavors. It comes in a decanter-style bottle, with 24 sides, representing the 24 solar periods in the Japanese lunisolar calendar. The name Hibiki, meaning harmony, is centered on the label, made of traditional Echizen paper, handmade.

DISTILLERY

Hibiki Japanese Harmony was launched in March 2015. Its single malts come from Hakushu and Yamazaki, and the grain whisky from the Chita distillery. Hibiki is owned by the Suntory group and was launched in 1989 to commemorate the company's 90th anniversary. It has a very pale amber color. On the nose, it begins with a delicate bouquet of lustrous copper and a touch of vanilla. The aromas then continue to change. They go from a certain floral, herbaceous, and earthy complexity to almost resinous woody notes. The palate is surprising, very dry, slightly sweet, then turns to hot chili pepper at the tasting level. It mellows with a little water, leaving a slightly woody and toasty taste on the finish.
