Domaine de Mianville: the name of Christine de Mianville is only known to very curious Chenin lovers. The Grande Dame of Jasnières, Christine, is an oenology teacher and Bernard, her husband, is a consultant oenologist.
Their 1ha estate is for pleasure! What mastery of Chenin on these superb terroirs overlooking the Loir valley! Great dry wines, of remarkable concentration and precision, representing their terroirs with crazy energy.
The work in the vineyard is organic due to the size of the estate, with the use of animal traction thanks to the help of the donkey Fakin. The harvest is manual and the vinification is non-interventionist. The wines benefit from a long aging of 18 months and are not filtered.
