Château Marjosse

Château MARJOSSE is a historic property located 14 km south of Saint Emilion, built in 1782. It is surrounded by 20 hectares of vines located on exceptional clay and limestone soils. Winemaker Pierre Lurton, born and raised in a nearby chateau, bought the property piece by piece from 1991 and has since produced remarkably popular and reasonably priced reds and whites.

There are young as well as old vines (even some planted in the 1920s!). Among the different varieties of grapes. Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon form Sauvignon Blanc in red, Sémillion and Muscadelle in white.
