THE JACQUES SELOSSE DOMAIN
Domaine Jacques Selosse was founded in 1949 in the Grand Cru village of Avize. His son, Anselme, took over the estate in 1974 to make it the little rising star of Champagne. Each year, only 50,000 bottles are produced at the Jacques Selosse estate, made up of 7.5 hectares spread over extraordinary terroirs that Anselme Selosse has managed to sublimate plot by plot. The quality of Selosse Champagnes is recognized by all major critics and the bottles are very popular all over the world given the low production.

This rosé is a blended rosé with a salmon color. The 5% of Pinot Noir comes from Grands Crus from the prestigious Côte des Blancs. The 95% of Chardonnay comes from winegrowers in Ambonnay, a grand cru from the Montagne de Reims. The house has chosen the requirement: a low dosage between 1.3 and 2.7 grams of sugar per liter. Consequently, Brut Rosé is a gourmet and light champagne.

Exquise is a “dry” champagne with a dosage of just over 20 g/l. A brilliant demonstration that a very ripe fruit can produce a champagne of immense finesse, certainly sweet but with extraordinary energy. A confidential vintage if ever there was one (barely a thousand bottles produced), it comes from a selection of very ripe Chardonnay, from the different grands crus of the Domaine.

Initial: which is at the beginning of something. One wine, three great wines Avize, Cramant and Oger. A grape variety: Chardonnay. Three successive years. An ethical approach: respect for the living for the expression of the Mineral. A style: fulfilled and jovial. Aging in wood gives a stronger color with a more oxidative character which gives all the charm to the wines of this Avize winemaker. The mouth imposes itself with more force, even more flesh and thickness. But behind this richness the vintage conceals a beautiful liveliness with a counterpoint of salinity which harmonizes everything.

Grape variety: Chardonnay

An exceptional vintage in the image of its house, Substance is an extremely delicious Grand Cru with fresh notes of honey and toast. From a solera started in 1986, it is a rare champagne produced in only 11 barrels, or less than 1,700 bottles per year. 100% Chardonnay from the prestigious Avize terroir, we note some pretty chalky touches between its creamy fruity aromas. Very expressive, rich, long and complex. Its finish is of remarkable length, Substance is undeniably a champagne of haute cuisine which will be appreciated with dishes of great finesse.
JACQUES SELOSSE LIEUX-DIS COLLECTION
