Located in the north of the Etna valley, the vines used to produce this vintage grow at an altitude of around 800 meters on volcanic soil composed of basalt allowing ideal drainage. In a spirit of polyculture that we find a lot in Italy, the vines coexist with olive trees and even almond trees. The color of the wine is very clear and suggests a lot of finesse and elegance, immediately confirmed by the nose, fresh and persistent. There are notes of red fruits and spices. The palate is astonishing, the supple tannins are perfectly integrated with the freshness of the wine. An exceptional wine which is unfortunately only produced in 15,000 copies.

A great essential and universally respected figure in natural wine, Frank Cornelissen is a classic. This man of constant questioning lives in human and cosmic resonance with his contrasting terroir: he was able to demonstrate that the powerful minerality of a great volcanic soil could be highlighted by the naturalness of his wines. Its Sicilian azienda is located in Passopisciaro, in the north of the Etna valley. It is, he says, the “Côte de Nuits” of Etna for the great diversity of its wines spread over numerous localities (contrade) at different altitudes.
