A beautiful golden yellow, this vintage has a very delicate nose, open with floral, mineral (hot flint) and lemony notes. After aeration, aromas of menthol, puffed rice grain, quince and even pear are revealed. A fresh and silky attack opens onto a very supple, creamy palate, with a fine supporting minerality; we find this note of bitter orange so often present in this wine and which stretches into a long finish ! DOMAIN

Exclusive property of the Joly family, the Coulée de Serrant vineyard alone constitutes a controlled designation of only 7 hectares. The vineyard was planted in 1130 by Cistercian monks and today consists of vines ranging from 35 to 80 years old. The old small monastery still exists and a few hundred meters away the Roche aux Moines castle was built, dismantled during the wars of religion. Always considered a rare and unique product, Coulée de Serrant was celebrated by Louis XI and Louis XIV as one of the best French white wines. The vineyard is cultivated partly by hand and by horse due to the steepness of its slopes which overlook the Loire. Since 1984, the entire estate has been cultivated using biodynamic farming methods. Three wines are produced in small quantities at the property and benefit from the principles of biodynamic agriculture: “Coulée de Serrant”, “Clos de la Bergerie” and “Les Vieux Clos”
