2013, the harvest in Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize and Oiry: the winter is very cold and snowy, the spring and the beginning of summer remain cold and humid, generating coulure and millerandage and delaying flowering and maturity. August and September are hotter and drier, allowing a late but very good harvest. The Pinot Noirs from Aÿ and Dizy and the Chardonnays from Avize are particularly successful.

DOMAIN

For more than 20 years, the Chiquet brothers (Jean-Hervé and Laurent) have returned to traditionalist and meticulous practices to respect the unique character of the plots of the Jacquesson Champagne House vineyard, located in Dizy, in the Marne Valley. This house, founded in 1798 by Memmie Jacquesson, was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Adopting a unique policy of vinification and aging in barrels, Jacquesson extracts from his plots almost limited series bearing the name of Cuvée n°700 and following. These numbered vintages guarantee optimal traceability of each plot of which they are composed. Magnifying pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier, Maison Jacquesson champagnes are recognized for their elegance and aromatic richness.
