The Barbera d'Alba Il Cerreto by Roberto Voerzio takes its name from the vineyards from which it originates, located near the municipality of La Morra.

The grapes, harvested manually between mid and late September, are fermented in steel. The wine ages in barrels and barrels for 12 months, followed by an additional 8 months of aging in steel.

It reveals itself in the glass with a ruby red color of great concentration. The nose shows a clear fruity imprint in which notes of cherry and blackberry are evident. On the palate, it is fresh and persistent, with a present but discreet tannin which strengthens the drink.

DOMAIN

The Roberto Voerzio winery is located in La Morra, a village in the heart of the Langhe, in the Italian Piedmont. The estate was founded in 1986 when Roberto inherited 5 hectares of his father's vineyards. Since then, he has been one of Barolo's most acclaimed wine producers. Today the estate covers 8.5 hectares of vineyards around La Morra, with high planting densities producing tiny yields. There are 6 different plots in a range of Barolo vintages: Brunate, Cerequio, Capalot, La Serra, Pozzo dell'Anunziata and Sarmassa di Barolo, all of which are the origin of individual vintages. It also produces Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo.
