After several generations, Bertrand Sourdais took over the management of the estate, and continued to reveal the charm and historical character of Cabernet Francs to make these wines, the grand crus of Chinon. The estate is located in the Loire Valley on the commune of Cravant-les-coteaux to the east of the prestigious Chinon appellation. 18 hectares of Cabernet Franc are cultivated here, 12 of which surround the property on the large sloping clay-limestone terroirs of the hillside and 6 hectares on the sandy-gravelly hillock of “Clos de Briancon”.
