This Champagne is also a blend of years explained by the mention “mag” followed by a number. The number corresponds to the harvest year used as the basis for the assembly. We are here on a "mag 19", i.e. 2019, which means that part of the reserve wines were aged in magnum, bringing precision and freshness to this vintage.
Here is a small, very qualitative house, whose history dates back to 1870 when Joseph Graser joined Epernay. His son, Armand-Raphaël, launched an activity as a wine broker, before starting the production of Graser champagne, quickly renamed AR Lenoble (AR for his initials, Lenoble for the nobility brands of champagne).
The house extends over 18 hectares of its own, located in the grand cru of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs and in Bisseuil in the premier cru of the Montagne de Reims. The house supplements its activity by purchasing grapes in the Epernay region.
4 generations followed one another before the Malassagne family decided to cede control of Champagne AR Lenoble to the Frère-Gallienne family - FG Bros - in order to continue its development in France and export. Antoine Malassagne will remain associated and operationally involved to ensure the continuity of the work accomplished alongside his sister, Anne, for three decades.
This acquisition marks the desire of the Frère-Gallienne family to take majority or minority stakes, through its private holding company FG Bros, in exceptional companies with the aim of supporting their development.
