Harvest and destemming by hand, crushing by foot. On the nose: bitter orange peels, mandarin as well as floral notes. Beautiful texture on the palate, delicacy and freshness. In short, a clean and pure orange wine!
DOMAIN
Melanie settled in the Gaillac region in the South-West in 2019 after having completed several professional experiences in the world of wine which took her to Australia, the USA and the Jura. She started her wine project in Tarn under the name Melsolo by vinifying grapes purchased from local winegrowers. Since 2020, she has been working on a small leased plot in the town of Andillac. At the start of 2022, she leased another plot of land in Vieux. Today, she cultivates an area of around 2.5 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils. Among the grape varieties we find Mauzac, Petit Manseng, Ondenc, Sémillon, Jurançon Noir and Braucol. Melanie seeks to preserve all these indigenous and forgotten Gaillac grape varieties. The vintages are produced without filtration and without any input or added sulphite. Melsolo wines are full of freshness and delicacy.
